Recipe of the Week – Spanish Garlic Prawns

Recipe Ingredients List

  • Cooked Prawns (80g)
  • Garlic (two cloves)
  • Spanish / Red Onion (two slices)
  • Olive Oil (one teaspoon)
  • Chili Powder (half a teaspoon)
  • Paprika (half a teaspoon)

Step 1
To begin, heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a low heat. While the oil is heating up, dice both the garlic and onion into small pieces. You can use a Spanish or a red onion – depending on preference. Add them to the frying pan once the oil has heated up and then stir them so that they cook evenly.


Step 2
Add in the prawns once the onions begin to brown and increase the heat slightly. Stir all of the ingredients together and add in both the chili powder and paprika. Not only will these add some subtle heat and flavour to the recipe, they also turn it an appetising red / orange colour.


Step 3
Continue to stir the ingredients together for a few minutes until the prawns are fully heated up. Simply transfer onto a plate and you are ready to serve and enjoy your Spanish garlic prawns!


With three short and simple steps, you now have delicious Spanish garlic prawns to enjoy. This recipe brings a great source of high-quality protein and is sure to tickle the taste buds with the flavourful garlic, chili and paprika used within it. The use of olive oil too brings with it a dose of antioxidants which are known to have heart health benefits.
