Pina Colada Smoothie – Recipe of the Week
Ring in the new year with this cocktail-inspired (but completely free from alcohol) pina colada smoothie. Pina Colada Smoothie

Recipe Ingredients List
• Pineapple (300g)
• Cucumber (325g)
• Ice (200g)
• Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (85g)
• Oats (20g)
• Shredded Coconut (20g)
• Coconut Milk (120ml)
• Fresh Mint Leaves
Step 1
Chop up the pineapple, cucumber and fresh mint leaves into small chunks. This will make them easier to blend as the blades of the blender can navigate around smaller pieces and chunks of food such as this.
Step 2
While this is not an essential step, it can help with the process and reduce the amount of time that the blender is used for. For the ice, consider placing it into a food bag and then crushing it with a suitable kitchen utensil (like a rolling pin or meat tenderiser etc.)
Step 3
Add the chopped pineapple, cucumber, fresh mint leaves and ice into the blender. Next, pour in the coconut milk, oats (gluten-free if required), shredded coconut and vanilla whey protein powder. Blend the ingredients together until it results in a smooth and velvety liquid texture.
