The Movement Clinic

The Movement Clinic

The Movement Clinic provides the likes of clinical massage, dry needling treatments and corrective exercise programmes and plans for muscle and joint pain. The clinic can also help you with a range of physical injuries and pains – especially those sustained from exercise and sporting activities. These are most often the injuries that can hold you back from doing the very thing your love either in the gym or on the pitch etc. The main therapist is Colin Cassidy and he is a neuromuscular therapist and corrective exercise coach who runs the clinic here at Westpark Fitness. With over ten years experience working in various gyms and clinic facilities in Ireland, Australia and the UK, The Movement Clinic endeavors to provide the highest standard of service to it’s clients.

Strength, Conditioning and Injury Prevention

Most recreational runners and triathletes can neglect to complete the recommended strength work to support their sporting endeavours. This can lead to a lot of the same type of injuries (which are all quite common) including tendinopathies, plantar fasciitis, chronic lower back stiffness and more. Rather than suffering in silence, you can book in with the clinic and target and treat these pains and strains so that you can get back to the exercise, fitness and sporting activities that you love.

The clinic runs courses specifically designed to decrease injury risk and increase performance in long distance running and triathlon. This is also known as ‘prehabilitation’ – essentially bulletproofing the body before it engages in exercise, fitness and sporting activities. You can find out more on their Facebook page to see some examples of their clients working hard to maintain and turbocharge their recovery and fitness. So if this sounds like the service you need to get through your season / event, then be sure to give them a call to arrange an appointment.
