Do of course make sure to talk to any of our fitness team should you need any help and guidance to empower your training for these events. You can also discuss getting a tailored progression programme made, book in with our onsite facilities like Health Matters and The Movement Clinic and avail of our many fitness classes too!

11th May – Darkness Into Light
This year, the darkness into light walk will be held on Saturday the 11th of May 2019 (you can also jog or run this event if you wish). In aid of Pieta House, this has become a really popular walk which started in the Phoenix Park back in 2009 and is now a global event. Visit the darkness into light website here if you would like to register and take part – as well as for information on donations and fundraising. As it is a 5km circuit, you can prepare and train in advance by using cardio equipment at Westpark Fitness, such as the treadmill, to build up your stamina.
2nd June – Women’s Mini Marathon
Choose to walk, jog or run at the women’s mini marathon which will be held on Sunday the 2nd of June 2019. Entry fees are €25 per person and you can sign up on their website here. You can choose to fundraise for this event too for a wide variety of charitable causes. With a 10km total circuit distance, you can prepare and train at Westpark Fitness using our many cardiovascular equipment and fitness classes that can help improve your movement, stamina and energy levels.
There are of course many events throughout the year, but these are the main upcoming ones within the first six months of 2019. As always, the staff at Westpark Fitness are your gym partners and are happy to help you work and train towards these events – as well as your overall health and fitness goals.
