Yoga for Anxiety
Do you suffer from anxiety, depression and / or stress? Are you a perfectionist afraid of making mistakes or failing? Is this stopping you in reaching your goals, developing yourself and moving forward in life? Do you feel trapped and / or scared? Many of us live our lives rushing through to-do lists, struggling to balance work, family, social life and the likes of personal development. We can also end up focusing on one of these aspects too much and by neglecting the others; feelings of tension, worry, stress, anxiety and losing awareness of who we really are and what we really want can start to creep in. The Yoga for Anxiety class can help.

Our Yoga for Anxiety class is designed to help with mental health, to help you feel stronger, more relaxed, more balanced and happier in your life.
We will try to slow down, be present, release tension, let go and just be.
Focus on stimulating our energy centres (chakras) to release energy flow through any blockages we might have, to reconnect with our instincts and follow our dreams. See the class times and dates on the Westpark Fitness app.
– The solar plexus chakra is associated with personal power and when it’s imbalanced, we can feel a lack of confidence, fear of failure, low self-esteem and lack of direction.
– The heart chakra is associated with love, unity and connection with others. When imbalanced we might have trust issues and feelings of shyness and loneliness.
– Root chakra: when imbalanced we feel uncertain, anxious, weak and / or self-conscious.
– Throat chakra: when imbalanced we feel social anxiety, struggle to express our feelings, wants, needs and an overall struggle to communicate.
