Sports Specific Cycling

What is it?

This sports specific cycling class is for members of the Pulse Triathlon and Westpark Fitness members too – to train together to partake in marathons and other fitness events. Held in our spinning studio, please note that this class (currently held once a week – 6:30am every Tuesday morning) has 17 bikes assigned for Pulse Triathlon members (who must reserve their spot using the sign-in sheet at reception) and 10 bikes assigned for Westpark Fitness members (who must reserve their spot through the app).

Type of Training

While this is a spinning class, a focus will be placed on an overall sporting and triathlon aspect as those in the Pulse Triathlon Club will train in different ways to improve their overall endurance, stamina and strength. As such, it can make for a more intense spinning class as it is more goal orientated instead of being spinning as a general fitness class.

With options to use on the spin bikes themselves (such as standing or sitting, increasing resistance etc.), our state-of-the-art equipment is ideal to work on reaching and maintaining health and fitness goals. The class is led by members of the Westpark Fitness team. We are glad to support both Pulse Triathlon and our more sporting focused members and love seeing how our premier fitness facility can help them to achieve these amazing sporting, triathlon and exercise event achievements!
