What is it?

A high-intensity interval training class using the group exercise bikes, HIIT Spin gives great results with limited time commitment needed. There is a good reason that it is such a popular class here at Westpark Fitness. Spinning can be a very intense workout even without employing HIIT techniques; giving you the ability to ride for periods of time raised up off the seat – which works to add an ab / core workout element into the mix. By simply adjusting the tension of the bike in HIIT Spin, you can take a workout from mediocre to hardcore at the twist of a knob. Spinning also works not only the legs but the glute / buttocks muscles as well.

Who is it for?

For indoor cycling beginners, the indoor bike is a great piece of cardio equipment because it is very simple to use. Chances are you’ve ridden a bike at some point in your life, no matter how long ago it may have been. So because the biking motion is one that is familiar to all of us, there really is no learning to be done in order to be able to jump on a bike and get a great workout whether its a HIIT session or not.
